► Research Assistance
- Reference librarians can provide assistance with your research project from choosing a topic, to locating appropriate information and properly formatting your citations.
► Reference services
- A reference librarian is available to assist you in utilizing the resources of the library. The librarian can provide answers to specific questions, advise and help with bibliographic sources and consult on research projects. Feel free to ask for help.
- Instructors can arrange to have a librarian provide an instructional session in your classroom or in the library computer lab. The session can review the resources available in print, digital and online. The session can be tailored to a specific assignment or project to help you get started.
To schedule a session the instructor can email library@atlanticcape.edu.
► Tutoring
Atlantic Cape Community College's tutoring services are available to all students, free of charge. Students can meet with a tutor at any campus library, or online any time through the service.

► Borrowing Stuff
Your library card (activated college id card) is used to borrow (for up to 3 weeks) books from any Atlantic Cape library, including the special Atlantic County Library System Library In A Library collection, located in the Spangler Library, Mays Landing Campus.
Visit the library to register your ID for borrowing privileges.
Your library card is required to :
- Borrow a laptop computer, for use in the library.
- Borrow calculators.
- Borrow a headset for private listening while in the library..
► Print Resources
The libraries at Atlantic Cape contain 80,000+ volumes covering all of the subjects taught at the College. All campus libraries also contain a large collection of reference and special collections for use in the library, including:
- General encyclopedias, all campuses
- Subject specific encyclopedias, all campuses
- Large print books, all campuses
- Nursing collection, Spangler Mays Landing
- Hoffman Culinary Collection, Spangler Mays Landing
- ESL collection, Worthington Atlantic City
- Atlantic County historical materials, Spangler Mays Landing

► Course Textbook Reserves
- Many instructors make course materials, and some course textbooks available to students. Ask at the circulation desk for materials on reserve for your courses. Reserve materials may only be used inside the library. You will need your current semester school ID card to use these materials. Check the Course Reserve Collection guide for more information
► e-Textbooks
Due to publisher restrictions, most standard digital textbooks cannot be made available online by the library .
► Access Codes
Access codes are not available from the libraries.
- Your access code may be included with your print edition
- Sent to you by email when your purchase is confirmed.
- May be provided by the instructor for the class.
If the access code was not issued to you, or if it does not work, please contact the bookstore
► Electronic Resources
Off Campus access username and password can be found in Blackboard on the Institution Page. Students: look for Student Tools to Stay Connected at Atlantic Cape. Faculty: look for Key information about Libraries and Tutoring. Or you can contact the library for username and password.

► Interlibrary Loan
Did you find an article not available in full text? How about a book not owned by Atlantic Cape or the Atlantic County Library System
All is not lost. The library may be able to get your article or book from another library. The Interlibrary loan service is free to all current students, faculty and staff of Atlantic Cape.
